About East China

The 5 cards in this East China collection lead to Shanghai Municipality, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and Fujian. They represent a range from major city streets and Jiangnan gardens to mountain villages and a coastal island setting. This is a regional shortlist of the site's province and municipality guides. A connection on the map does not mean that every card belongs in the same short itinerary.

For 4–5 days, build around one gateway and one nearby contrast, such as Shanghai with a garden city or Hangzhou. With 7–10 days, decide whether the additional chapter should be Huangshan's mountains or Xiamen's coast. Adding both creates a wider journey with more hotel changes. A lower-effort route can favour gardens, city neighbourhoods and short lakeside walks; a mountain-focused route should budget its steps and recovery time separately from railway transfers.

Spring and autumn often make outdoor comparisons easier, but rainy periods, summer heat and coastal storm conditions deserve a flexible daily order. Popular gardens, mountain entries and island ferries each have their own booking arrangements. A late arrival at one railway station can leave little time for the evening activity pictured on a card. Check museum closure days and the precise departure point for boat journeys before locking the sequence of hotels.

Use Jiangsu for Suzhou, Nanjing and Wuxi, or Anhui when the Yellow Mountains are the main reason for the trip. The Fujian page opens the Xiamen chapter. If you want ready-made sequences rather than regional orientation, browse China tours. Let the landscape or cultural interest determine the branch, then use real travel days to connect the chosen places.
