City & place hubs
The Zhejiang page currently offers 1 destination card, Hangzhou. It introduces the province through West Lake, tea-growing landscapes and the city's cultural setting. This gateway is useful for deciding whether the visit should be a short urban-and-lake stay or a slower chapter with time beyond the busiest shoreline. It does not aim to list every Zhejiang city or turn the whole province into one day trip from Shanghai.
For 2–3 days, give the lake and one cultural or tea-related outing their own room in the schedule. With 4–5 days, consider another Jiangnan base only when its journey contributes something different. Travellers needing frequent breaks can select a shorter lakeside stretch and transport between distant areas. A tea-country walk may include slopes and exposed paths, so its effort should be assessed separately from an easy waterfront stroll. The first railway arrival still needs time for reaching the hotel or chosen lake area. A quieter lake segment can be more useful than completing the full circuit, especially when your group wants time to sit, look and enjoy a meal nearby.
Spring can bring attractive tea-country and lakeside conditions, while summer warmth and rain encourage shorter outdoor blocks. In any season, verify the exact boat service or attraction reservation rather than assuming all lake activities share one ticket. Museum or religious interiors may follow their own opening days. A long circuit can finish far from your intended pickup point, so agree the exit and return transport before setting out. Keep the order flexible when rain reduces the appeal of a hillside visit.
Use Hangzhou attractions to compare individual lake, temple and landscape stops. The Hangzhou tour collection separates a city-focused stay from a Suzhou pairing. Open Jiangsu for that neighbouring garden-city chapter, or East China for the wider regional choice. Decide how slowly you want to experience Hangzhou before adding another destination to the route.
