One gives the mountain chapter a second scenic-area contrast; the other places more emphasis on a city-and-wildlife introduction before the valleys. The extra day should be judged by the actual sequence of nights, park visits and transfers. Both need a clear distinction between the main park experience and time spent reaching it.

Choose the 5-day Huanglong combination when the two mountain settings are the priority. The 6-day panda combination suits travellers wanting a different Chengdu chapter. Ask which days involve sustained boardwalk walking, park shuttles and longer road journeys. A group needing a gentler pace can choose shorter permitted park circuits, but should still account for altitude and the time in transit. Avoid shortening the first highland arrival to create another attraction slot.

Season changes colours, temperatures and accessible routes. Confirm the park reservation and actual entry arrangement before attaching a fixed transport departure. Huanglong's admission and visitor transport are separate from Jiuzhaigou's. Cold, rain or conservation work can affect particular paths even when the wider scenic area is operating. Leave weather flexibility and a modest first mountain day, then verify the return journey from the chosen accommodation. A headline duration cannot guarantee a specific road or flight connection on your dates.

The Jiuzhaigou attraction list separates the main park, internal valley guides and regional excursions. Use Chengdu attractions for the city portion and Sichuan for the wider framework. Choose the second mountain area or panda emphasis first, then refine the sequence around confirmed access and the group's comfortable walking pace.
